Prologue

Carl Burns lives in a high-tech future where reality and dreams blur together. After a transport accident, he struggles with paranoia and questions what's real. He encounters a ghostly woman at work, which adds to his mental decline and existential dread. This is Carl’s story, the story of how he (maybe) became the saviour of the world.

In this dystopian society, technology controls everything, and Carl resists despite being addicted to it. He faces ridicule at work due to his neural implant, symbolising his mental and emotional decay, but he remains kind despite losing human connections.

A violent crash leaves Carl semi-conscious, in physical pain and mental torment, which blurs reality. He inherits a mystical stone that links him to an ancient lineage, making him a chosen guardian tasked with a cosmic mission to save humanity.

Professor Mustard reveals that supernatural events were orchestrated to prepare Carl for a wild cosmic journey involving advanced space technology, a space station, and a comet. On the comet, Carl receives a message that only love can conquer hate, which he must bring back to Earth.

Now, the final choice lies in Carl’s hands. The fate of humanity rests on the decision he makes on his return from the edge of the universe. Carl returns to public acclaim, delivering a message of unity and reincarnation, but descends into depression and confusion, ending with an ambiguous near-death encounter suggesting transcendence beyond physical existence.

Suffragettes in Perth

Kindle- £1.99 - https://amzn.eu/d/j64DZIn

Paperback £4.40 - https://amzn.eu/d/5EvZ7Fx

Just before the First World War, Perth became the centre of attraction in Scotland for the political rights actions of Suffragettes seeking equal rights in voting, as part of the Votes for Women campaign. The sizeable protest incidents that occurred in Perth included at least two significant disturbances in 1913, during which the police drew their batons, and several Suffragette protests in the following year, during the King and Queen’s visit.
The main reason Perth was in the spotlight was because of the Suffragette militant actions and the imprisonment and barbaric torture imposed by force-feeding of Suffragettes who went on hunger strike in Perth Prison and were not allowed any letters or visitors. These events caused considerable uproar, especially as up until now, Scotland, unlike England, had refrained from this practice.
Matters came to a head in Perth during April 1914 when the Suffragettes’ protests and actions attempted to disrupt the King and Queen’s Royal visit to the city.

Amazon - Aviation in Perthshire

https://amzn.eu/d/cJVG8Zw

A historical exploration of awe-inspiring aviators, their wartime contribution, Perthshire airfield history, facts, and memorable local events.

A special edition of the aviation stories with links to Perthshire. All of the profits from the sale of this book go directly to Take Off (www.take-off.org.uk). This is an aviation-centred charity, founded and run by members of the Scottish Aero Club (www.scottishaeroclub.org.uk).

This volume tells the stories of 15 First World War aviators with Perthshire links and over 90 from the Second World War, which includes 7 Battle of Britain heroes. All of Perthshire’s airfields are included, along with notes of where German bombs were dropped and the aircraft that were lost. I’ve also included some other local aviation history that I thought might be interesting.

Tippermuir Books Ltd - Where Sky and Summit Meet (sold out, available as PDF - £1)

https://tippermuirbooks.co.uk/product/where-sky-and-summit-meet-flight-over-perthshire/

Where Sky and Summit Meet is the story of flight in Perthshire, from the rickety prototypes of the early aeronautical pioneers to the high-tech marvels of the present day. Its cast of idealists and visionaries includes David Kay of Blackford, who designed and built the Kay Gyroplane in the 1930s, and the unsung hero Preston Watson, who arguably predated the Wright Brothers in flying the world’s first successful aeroplane. The book’s sections on Perthshire in the Second World War conjure a time when the county was home to several RAF airfields and the skies were crowded with military planes and martial activity. Where Sky and Summit Meet is a fascinating account of pilots, airfields, aeronautical feats, and war. A must-read for anyone interested in either Scottish or military history.

Life - It is Such a Sore Fight Images

When I say that my book is very, very weird, it truly is. Have a look at the images below and you will see what I mean. Most of these images were used in the book to try to explain and visualise what was going on. Before, because it was so weird, no one understood what I was writing about and could not figure it out.

You have to wonder what sort of book this is if you look at these images, a - what is this all about, then the thought is in your head. Who wrote a book that needs these images to explain what is going on? As I said, it is WEIRD!

The images are all Artificial Intelligence-produced, using DALL-E, Image Generator Pro, Copilot, and Image Generator. The AI analysed a section of text, and this is what it came up with. This was to complement the AI text I used at the start of each chapter, only to summarise my writing. I did not use AI to write this book, but rather to help explain what was happening. The story was written by a human, yes, me, but I do wonder about myself sometimes.
